Supporting infrastructure
Supporting analytical resources
Instrumentation is supported by dedicated chromatography, sample-preparation,
data-analysis, and laboratory infrastructure within the core.
Chromatography
Dedicated UHPLC systems support analytical separations across the LC-MS platforms. An Agilent 1200 HPLC is
also maintained for offline fractionation and other preparative applications.
Sample preparation
Dedicated wet-lab space supports solid phase and liquid-liquid extraction, centrifugation, vacuum
concentration, nitrogen drying,
lyophilization, protein digestion, and other sample-preparation workflows.
Data systems
Dedicated computing and laboratory servers support metabolomics and proteomics processing, data analysis,
compound annotation, data storage, and instrument-specific software workflows.
Which instrument is appropriate for your study?
Platform selection depends on the biological question, analyte class, required sensitivity, quantitative
requirements, and whether the study is targeted or discovery-driven. The core can help select the
appropriate analytical approach before samples are submitted.
